Mobile man anchors are an inexpensive and often easy option for fall restraint on flat roof areas where other fall arrest equipment or guardrail systems are not present or can’t be permanently installed. Due to their simplicity they are straightforward to maintain, assemble and disassemble allowing them to be easily relocated to suit changing needs. This system allows up to two users for fall restraint. The mobile man anchor should only be used as a fall arrest device (not restraint) as a last resort and after careful consideration. In this situation it must be used in conjunction with the appropriate fall protection PPE.
